About the Youth Innovation Challenge
A partnership between the Taiwan Ocean Conservation Administration (OCA) and the Global Environmental Education Partnership (GEEP), the Youth Innovation Challenge (YIC) is an opportunity for young people (ages 15–30) everywhere to propose an innovative solution that addresses a marine conservation issue using environmental education. The 2025 YIC explores how we can address marine issues and support people of all ages to be engaged stewards to protect marine environments. We're looking for solutions that are informed by research, feasible, innovative, and address one of this year's key topics using environmental education. Winning solutions will receive global recognition and a $1,000 USD prize. One member from each winning team will be invited to attend the YIC award ceremony in Kaohsiung, Taiwan from September 29–October 1, 2025 (all travel expenses covered)!
