Victoria is passionate about transformational change in schools. Serving as the environmental education and service-learning consultant at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, Victoria works with educators and organizations to increase capacity for equitable, authentic learning experiences through meaningful place-based education. She co-founded FIELD Edventures, a non-profit dedicated to taking learning outdoors and designed and led a project-based, environmental middle school.

Victoria is passionate about transformational change in schools. Serving as the environmental education and service-learning consultant at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, Victoria works with educators and organizations to increase capacity for equitable, authentic learning experiences through meaningful place-based education. She is an active member of the Wisconsin Association for Environmental Education, and co-founded FIELD Edventures, a non-profit dedicated to taking learning outdoors.

Prior to working at the state level, Victoria designed and led a project-based, environmental school for seventh and eighth-grade students. She authored  “Hands-On, Feet Wet: The Story of River Crossing Environmental Charter School” and edited “Hands-on, Earth Math: Digging Deeper into Environmental Topics.” 

Victoria holds teaching licenses for grades 1-8 as well as 6-9 English with formal classroom teaching experience ranging from first grade to graduate school, and has had teaching positions in reading, English, and graphic design in Wisconsin and at an environmental education camp in Far Eastern Russia.  She has served on state and national boards to advance environmental education and has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Green Building Council Center for Green Schools, among others.

Victoria has a Master of Science in Natural Resources: Environmental Education from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Winona State University, and an Associates of Applied Science in Graphic Design from Western Technical College.
