Juliet is  the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Jully Foundation, a women- and youth-led organisation that develops community-driven interventions addressing environmental pollution, climate vulnerability, gender inequality, youth unemployment, period poverty, water conservation, gender-based violence, mental health, education, and social exclusion. Her work focuses particularly on women and girls, young people, persons with disabilities (PWDs) , internally displaced persons (IDPs), schoolchildren, and people living in low-income and flood-affected communities.

Juliet's commitment to environmental action is deeply rooted in lived experience. Growing up in the Niger Delta, she witnessed the devastating effects of flooding and environmental degradation on families and communities. These experiences shaped her belief that environmental education must go beyond awareness to equip people with practical knowledge, skills, and opportunities to create solutions.

Through Jully Foundation, she uses environmental education and social impact activities as a pathway to climate resilience and economic empowerment. She has designed and facilitated community-based training on climate awareness, waste management, environmental justice, circular economy practices, green entrepreneurship, menstrual hygiene, and mental health awareness. Participants learn how to transform discarded textiles, plastics, and other waste materials into useful and marketable products, including reusable bags, berets and menstrual products. And by connecting environmental education with livelihoods, her approach helps communities address multiple challenges simultaneously, reducing pollution while creating income and tackling issues such as unemployment,  period poverty and Gender Based Violence (GBV).

Juliet has also explored the use of artificial intelligence in vocational and circular-fashion training, helping participants identify ways to reduce and eliminate textile waste at the design and production stages. She believes technology should be accessible and practical, particularly for communities that are often excluded from innovation.

Education is central to her approach. Through teacher-focused environmental education initiatives, she has worked to strengthen the capacity of educators to introduce climate awareness and environmental action into learning environments. Her broader educational interventions also include digital literacy for disadvantaged schoolchildren, scholarships, educational assistance, and community learning programmes.

To date, Juliet's work has directly impacted more than 15,880 people across Nigeria, Uganda, and Ghana, while contributing to environmental awareness, waste reduction, water-resource conservation, green livelihoods, inclusion, and community resilience. Her long-term ambition is to scale community-led environmental education and green-enterprise models across Africa.

Juliet's work also sits at the intersection of climate, peace, gender, and human rights. She views environmental challenges not only as ecological issues but also as issues of justice, security, livelihoods, and human dignity. Her peacebuilding interests have led her to engage in women, peace and security initiatives and regional development work. She has worked and  now volunteer with ECOWAS, contributing to work related to women, peace and security, climate action, and issues affecting vulnerable communities.

She has also participated in leadership and governance initiatives, including the Carrington Youth Fellowship and Legislative Mentorship Initiatives Fellowship. Through these experiences, she has developed a deeper understanding of public policy, legislative processes, and governance. She hopes to eventually serve in Nigeria's National Assembly, using public policy and legislative leadership to address structural challenges affecting women, young people, and vulnerable communities.

Juliet is a Commonwealth Scholar and holds a Master's degree in International Development (Conflict, Security and Development) from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. She is also an IPRA Senesh Fellow and Rotary Peace Fellow, experiences that have strengthened her expertise in peacebuilding, conflict prevention, development, climate resilience, and social change.

Her contributions have received national and international recognition, including the Princess Diana Award, Letters to Strangers Changemakers Prize, Global Youth Environmental Change Award, UMI Fund Zero Waste and Gender Prize, EU Youth Empowerment Prize, Global Inclusive Award, Global Youth Award for Environmental Change, Bellwether International Ambassador recognition,  a Lagos State Government Honorary Award for Social Impact and more.

Beyond these recognitions, Juliet's greatest passion is creating opportunities for people who are often left out of decision-making and development processes. She believes women and young people should not remain passive beneficiaries of development; they should be educators, entrepreneurs, innovators, peacebuilders, environmental stewards, and decision-makers.

Looking ahead, Juliet aims to expand inclusive environmental education, climate solutions, and women- and youth-led green enterprises across Africa while contributing to policy reform and stronger local systems.

Her vision is simple but ambitious: to turn vulnerability into opportunity, environmental challenges into sustainable solutions, and excluded communities into resilient communities capable of shaping their own future.
