Hello, I am a teacher in the lake Tahoe region of California. I work for a small public charter located in the Olympic Valley. I run the homeschool program for our school and also teach science 2 days on campus. Ive been an educator for nearly 20 years now and started out as a naturalist in a residential outdoor education program in the Santa Cruz mountains. I love incorporating environmental education into my classes as much as possible.

I am a K-12 educator, teaching middle school science. I would like to further incorporate environmental and ecological themes more fully into my classroom teaching, and then also transition from classroom science teaching to outdoor, experiential, or environmental education of some sort over the next few years. 

I quit my full time job in July 2011 to become a stay at home/homeschool mom to my two children. Besides being a busy mom I am also a devoted wife, blogger, fieldtrip expert, naturalist and social media guru. I am passionate about getting children outside and immersed in nature.
