I am currently launching Every Child Outdoors (ECO), a nonprofit focused on expanding access to nature-based early education.  We are located in Boston and provide nature preschool, outdoor education for public schools, and consulting services to educators interested in launching nature-based early education programs.  

Before founding ECO, I grew Boston Outdoor Preschool Network from inception to serve over 600 children per year, with an annual budget of $2.4M. Under my leadership, the organization launched nature preschools at eight locations while also developing a Forest Days program for public schools. To expand access to nature-based early ed, I supplemented tuition revenue with foundation and government grants.  I supervised a staff of over fifty and cultivated essential partnerships with the land-owning nonprofits that hosted our programs—all with the goal of expanding access to joyful nature-based early education.  

A bit about me:

I believe that play and access to nature are essential for healthy child development.  Research shows that extended time outdoors supports children’s resilience, social-emotional development, language, creativity, environmental stewardship, and overall wellbeing.  I enjoy turning ideas into action—imagining what’s possible and then building the programs, partnerships, and community to bring them to life. I thrive on creative problem-solving, collaborative projects across organizations, and ultimately, making our world a greener, more joyful place.  I have a B.A. from Carleton College, AMS Montessori certification, and an M.S. in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College.
