I am an educator, learning designer, and program developer currently working with Utah State University, where I support collaborative approaches to educator learning, program development, and place-based education. I also works with Williamsburg Learning, contributing to the design and development of meaningful, engaging learning experiences. Across these roles, I work brings together experiential learning, educator development, community partnerships, and thoughtful learning design.
My ongoing research explores how intentionally designed learning environments can support engagement, belonging, curiosity, and meaningful learning. Building on my background in nature-based education, I am particularly interested in how experiential and place-based approaches can inform learning with educators, undergraduate students, and other adult learners—and how powerful learning experiences can influence not only what people know, but how they see themselves and their practice.
In addition to my current work and research, I bring more than a decade of experience across education, program development, communications, project management, and community engagement. I am passionate about building connections among educators, communities, and organizations and translating ideas into programs that work in real-world contexts. My broader interests include nature-based education, place-based learning, educator development, and designing learning experiences that foster deeper connection between people, community, and place.
