UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)
This Call for Proposals invites partners from the broad ESD community of practice (United Nations, CSOs, academia, the private sector, member states, and others) to submit proposals to co-organize thematic parallel sessions. Please note that Advisory Group will curate all other aspects of the conference agenda (the plenary sessions and potential exhibition spaces) through a separate process.
Selection Process:
Please prepare a proposal for the parallel session you would like to co-organize (maximum 90 minutes) and submit it via this questionnaire. There further instructions are provided.
UNESCO and the Advisory Group will jointly review proposals and assess against the eligibility requirements below. Only successful proposals will move to the co-creation stage, where UNESCO will collaborate with you to further develop the proposal, suggest speakers or presenters for your session, and connect you with other partners.
Be advised, only one proposal can be submitted per organization. You may suggest multiple speakers in your proposal, even if those speakers are appearing in proposals from other organizations. However, should your proposal be selected, we are unable to guarantee that all suggested speakers will also be selected.
If selected, your responsibilities as a session co-organizer will include collaborating with UNESCO and other organizations to identify speakers and panelists, preparing the agenda, and coordinating and facilitating the session on-site during the Conference.
Please note that diversity of perspectives and lived experiences is highly encouraged.
