Call for ECEfS Chapter Proposal Abstracts

Professor Eva Ärlemalm-Hagsér (Mälardalen University, Sweden), Professor Victoria Carr (University of Cincinnati, United States) and Dr Sue Elliott (University of New England, Australia) have been invited by Bloomsbury Publishers to be lead editors of the first handbook on early childhood education for sustainability (ECEfS). We are now calling for chapter abstracts.

Call for Proposals for Science | Environment | Health Education Book Series

European Science Education Research Association (ESERA) is pleased to announce a call for chapter contributions to planned edited volume, "Transfer Perspectives in Science | Environment | Health Education: Bridging Knowledge and Practice," to be published in the Contributions by ESERA Science Education Research Series by Springer Nature.

Through federal funding opportunities of up to $5,000, NOAA Planet Stewards supports formal and informal educators in carrying out hands-on stewardship projects with elementary through college-age students, as well as the general public.

Thanks to the generous support of Sanofi and the Eastern Bank, Earthwatch Institute is excited to be offering one Boston high school a fully-funded opportunity to participate in a virtual climate change educational program in Spring 2023. The Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections Education Sessional Committee is hosting a virtual Natural History Education DemoCamp. Presenter registration is open until June 6th and general registration will be open up until the event and is free for all attendees.

Ten Strands is circulating a call for Letters of Interest (LOI) for a new project. Deadline is April 8, 2:59 AM ET.

The Feather River Land Trust and its Learning Landscapes program is releasing an RFP related to a 360 degree program audit tool and process. After initial vetting and design with FRLT it would be piloted with a leadership cohort of 15 land trusts, and finally scaled to the 200+ programs. This collective evaluation process is funded for 3 years. We seek proposals from national evaluators interested in working within the land trust programs, a subset of the larger EE field.

MECCE Project Call for Case Studies Proposals

The Monitoring and Evaluating Climate Communication and Education (MECCE) Project is looking for 10 Case Studies that will explore a diversity of innovative climate communication and education initiatives from around the world. Case studies selected for funding will receive up to CAD 10,000. Deadline: January 4, 2022.

PADI Foundation 2022 Aquatic Research and Education Funding

The PADI Foundation will provide grants of up to $12,000 in support of projects that encourage and supports research and education related to aquatic environments.

Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful is issuing a Request for Proposal to update educational materials. As called for in Pennsylvania’s first-ever Litter Action Plan, announced by Governor Tom Wolf on November 22, 2021, Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful is looking for a contractor to update their antilitter curriculum, which focuses on changing littering behavior by influencing positive behavior through education. Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful’s comprehensive litter research, the Pennsylvania Litter Research Study and The Cost of Littering and illegal Dumping in Pennsylvania, informed the development of the Litter Action Plan. As part of the Litter Action Plan, the goal is to launch the revised materials publicly, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, on Earth Day 2023.

Proposal Submission Deadline is February 15, 2022.

EarthLab envisions an equitable, just and sustainable world where people and planet thrive. The Innovation Grants Program is seeking proposals for research at the intersection of climate change and social justice that will generate equitable and actionable science and knowledge (i.e., science that is usable and used). Maximum funding request: $75,000 over 17 months.

The Chesapeake Bay Trust is excited to announce that the Environmental Education Grant Program is now open.
