NAAEE is seeking grant reviewers for the eeBLUE Watershed STEM Education Partnership Grants program. If you have expertise related to any of the following areas, please apply: K–12 STEM education, environmental literacy, partnership building, program evaluation, community engagement, and informal environmental education.

What a reviewer will do:

  • Review and evaluate 3–6 grant proposals (depending on the number of submitted proposals).
  • Read, write brief reviews of, and score grant applications assigned to you.
  • Budget approximately 1.5 hours to review and evaluate each grant application.
  • Provide additional feedback to grant program managers as needed.

Timeframe

The review period for our Watershed STEM Education Partnership Grants will begin approximately April 5, 2024, and conclude April 26, 2024. NOTE: We may ask you to clarify your reviews between April 29–May 3 if any follow up questions arise. Written reviews and scores will be due April 26, 2024.

Why serve as a reviewer?

  • Reviewers will gain insights into the field of environmental education and best practices for community engagement.
  • Reviewers will gain insights into the characteristics of highly competitive grant applications.
  • Reviewers will gain an understanding of how a grants review process works.
  • Serving as a reviewer for a grants program is an important way to provide perspective and input from your community. This input informs investment decisions for the current year and future priorities of the field.
  • Nonfederal employees will receive an honorarium of $250 for their time and expertise.
