Environmental Fridays—Free Weekly Lecture Series

Laptop, mug, and phone lay on black wood table as sunlight shines through large windows

Tune in for Environmental Fridays each Friday at 9:30 AM (EST) via Zoom. Everyone is welcome. Students, teachers, professionals, and the public. This free series aims to inspire, engage, and mentor high school/academy students, college students, youth, and the public in critical and socially responsible thinking about environmental, scientific, technological, sustainability, and justice questions that intersect with public health, medicine, energy, urbanization, climate change, and air, water, and soil pollution. These talks are provided to inspire students to have future careers in these areas and motivate the public to change their environmental behavior. Environmental Fridays is a forum that can be used to engage our youth and the general public about the importance of climate resilience, biodiversity, pollution, sustainable development, the environment, and its impact on their community.

Environmental Fridays feature exciting, informative, and inspiring talks about the environment from experts based in the United States, the Caribbean, and other areas around the world. In the past 3 years, Environmental Fridays have had 87 episodes and 104 guest speakers. They represent academia, government, private sector, and concerned individuals and came from Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, California, Cherokee Nation, Colorado, England, Florida, Georgia, Grenada, Grenadines, Haiti, Illinois, Kenya, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montserrat, Navajo Nation, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Washington DC, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Tennessee, Tobago, Trinidad, Ukraine, and Virginia.
