Traveling through 30 countries and working on farms across six of them sparked my passion for organic farming and environmental education. After earning my degree in Environmental Science and Education, I taught science in the Dominican Republic and Hawaii, where I embraced outdoor learning. Now I run education programs at our hobby farm, Earthganic Farm, and teach at Valley Forest School, offering nature-based programs from our homestead. I’m passionate about low-waste living, growing food, and helping children connect deeply with the land. Ask me about growing 99% of my baby’s food or fitting a year’s trash in a 16oz jar!

My journey into environmental education began on the road—traveling through 30 countries as a young adult and working on organic farms in six of them. Those immersive experiences shaped my values around sustainability, community, and land stewardship. In the midst of the travel expereinces, I earned a degree in Environmental Science/Ecology and Education from Palm Beach Atlantic University, where I focused my senior thesis on organic farming systems.
My teaching career began in the Dominican Republic, where I taught high school Biology, Chemistry, and Global Issues. I then moved to Hawaii, teaching Gardening, Health & Wellness, and Science while serving as a Resident Supervisor. I brought my students outside as much as possible—whether hiking, kayaking, foraging, or simply learning in the open air.
In 2019, my partner and I founded Earthganic Farm, a small homestead and learning space grounded in principles of reciprocity, sustainability, and regeneration. We now host a nature-based enrichment program called Walking in Wellness, which blends teaching old-fashioned homestead skills and mindfulness for children ages 6-months to 12-years-old. From raising chickens to harvesting herbs to make natural remedies, each unit connects children with the rhythms of the land and the values of compassion for self, others, the more-than-human world, and for earth.
I'm also a lead teacher at Valley Forest School, where I currently work with children ages 6 weeks to 3 years, after previously leading the 3–8-year-old group. Across both roles, my focus is to create engaging, developmentally appropriate outdoor experiences that foster deep bonds with the natural world.
Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about low-waste living and environmental justice. I’ve lived for years producing under 16oz of landfill trash annually and kept our youngest child 99% homegrown for his first year—he ate 66 different foods grown right here on our land.

I also did my NatGeo Educator certification and mindfulness teaching certification in 2018. My teaching approach has further developed since then but my natgeo capstone is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kwexfa5iJ8
