Nimesh Patel, fondly known as "Nimo", is a former MTV-featured rap star, Ivy League graduate and owner of a worldwide media production studio who now serves the underprivileged children in the slums near Gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad, India, through his non-profit organization, Empty Hands Music.

Empty Hands Music’s mission anchors on “spreading seeds of goodness in the world through music.” To fulfill this mission, its operational values are centered around two key themes:

1. Selfless Service through grassroots arts-based activities with young children and;
2. Offering music and performance at community events around the globe purely as a gift.

Nimo has performed and shared his heartfelt messages of kindness, gratitude and love in over 20 countries from hundreds of schools, refugee camps and hospitals to international conferences, prisons and music festivals. His songs, music videos and message, have traversed the world to over 100 million viewers through MTV, YouTube, Tony Robbins’ events, the BBC Channel and more. To this date, Nimo has not charged for his music, album or performances. His album is a labor of love gift offering available to download for free.

During his journey from fame to selfless service, Nimo discovered that all of us on Earth are deeply interconnected as one human family. His music is an attempt to celebrate and share this spirit of oneness with the collectives/communities that invite him for performances. And his personal values are steadfastly rooted in nurturing this quality in the young minds and hearts of the children he mentors. “We arrive on to this planet empty handed,” he says. “And we will leave empty handed. So, then, how do we want to spend the time in between?”

Empty Hands is a 501c-3 Non-Profit, which is dedicated to serving and gifting communities across the world - a positive and inspiring message through its music & events, as well as its grassroots work with slum communities in India, providing opportunity and empowerment to our underprivileged children - through the arts.
