Every Kid Outdoors (EKO) Month of Action

OAK is hosting its second annual Every Kid Outdoors (EKO) Month of Action this September! Together, we will celebrate a new cohort of 4th graders becoming eligible for their very own EKO pass, which provides 4th graders and their families free access to National Parks and public lands.
By spreading awareness of the EKO program and helping to get the passes into as many hands as possible, you are helping us show the critical importance of this program. The more popular and widely used the Every Kid Outdoors program becomes, the easier it is to advocate that we must not only protect this crucial program, but expand it so even more kids can benefit from this incredible opportunity. To do this, we need your help!
In the Every Kid Outdoors Month of Action Toolkit, you will find many ways that you and your organization can get involved. From planning events to adding a pre-written blurb into your newsletter to posting on social media, any small thing you and your organization can do helps.
If your organization plans to participate in the Month of Action, please let Julia Hurwit, Outdoors Alliance for Kids Campaign Manager (julia.hurwit@sierraclub.org), know. OAK will be creating a wrap-up of all the activities taking place throughout September to use as advocacy materials and would love to feature anything your organizations do to celebrate the EKO Month of Action.
Thank you all for your incredible work. We are excited to come together and support this important program at such a critical time.
