This is Tanvi Hussain, Master of Science in Environmental Science from Guwahati, India. I'm pursuing PhD in Environmental Science and I've been working in the areas of climate change adaptation, mitigation and resilience activities, capacity building of communities, disaster management and preparedness, environment education, training and management, forest mapping and landuse/ landcover mapping, agroforestry, species distribution modelling, carbon stock estimation and field survey for the past 9 years. I'm also a visiting faculty in a college and I teach Environmental Science.

My career thus far has been centered around Banking and Finance which has left me lacking in purpose, inspiration and passion.  My true passion has always been observing and connecting with the natural world with a strong desire to steward and protect it, thus my interest to pursue NC Environmental Education Certificate.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, I have the privelege of living amongst the rolling hills, coastal mountains, and epic coastline of Northern California. As a committed early childhood educator for over fifteen years, I recognized importance for unstructured, child-led, outdoor play for the healthy development of young children. I continue to embrace the child inside and consider myself a lifelong learner. 

I am a college student with an interest in environmental education! I became familiar with this course through my work with the Ipswich River Watershed Association. 

Kennesha is a climate researcher, literacy advocate, and biomimicry enthusiast. She can talk about all things waste and landfills!
