I am a Director of Academics at Watershed Public Charter School and recently recognized as a US DoE Green Ribbon School. Here, I was an opening school board member while serving on the curriculum committee. I work to create, and facilitate the creation, of an interdisciplinary curriculum in grade levels K-5 that is based on constructivist ideals. I also collaborate to define and establish systems to measure success for our students, staff and school. As the leader of the professional development within the school, I design and conduct thoughtful trainings to increase the capabilities of our staff and their implementation of the hands-on curriculum we have developed. The school earned its Green School Certification in 2021 after only being open 18 months at the time. I enjoy sharing our work often at professional symposiums and am always looking for new connections.
