My name is Sandra. I am 32 years old. I have four children and a husband. I  work as a paraeducator for a school district. 

I am the Library Media Specialist, and I started teaching the science program in 2023. I am currently attending Northern Kentucky University to complete my EE certification.

I am a 50-year-old woman, pursuing my education degree after working in the public school system for about 15 years. I have raised three boys who are all grown adults, making a positive mark in the world in different ways. I have coached the Special Olympics bowling team. 

My primary goal as an environmental educator is to foster a sense of place in students of any age. I am passionate about the emotions a physical space can evoke and work hard to demonstrate the hope that comes from caring for the environment.  Nature journaling, sensory walks, and hands-on exploration are some of my favorite tactis to use when teaching outdoors.
