I hold a degree in Elementary Education K-8 and a Certification for K-12 Teaching, English and English as a Second Language. My background includes work as a classroom teacher and a K-6 Science Specialist as well as teaching at Headstart, Cooperative Preschool, Homeschool Partnerships, Girl Scouts and Preschool classrooms.

Currently I work as a Water Resources Education Specialist with Spokane County in Washington State. We have access to two water education facilities: a Water Resources indoor classroom space and exhibit hall in Spokane's urban core as well as a restored Wetland and learning center for our fledgling outdoor education program. We work with classroom teachers, homeschool programs, Scouts and other community groups to lead education programs at both sites, as well as classroom visits and off-site water locations. Our outreach specializes in K-12 education as well as adult programs and community events. To help launch our outdoor education program we received a No Child Left Inside Grant through WA States Recreation and Conservation Office. With these funds I co-wrote an outdoor education curriculum, trained 60 teachers, developed a volunteer program to help, and led it with 1600 students in our first year.
