I have been a devoted nanny for 4 years. Working in childcare since I was 15, I found a passion for exploration and discovery in early childhood. Seeing such joy of children waundering through an outdoor environment and finding small bugs, or little flowers, led me to teach them all their wonders, which led me to the path of nature-based early learning. I'm a student receiving my Master's degree in Early Intervention and Child Development, so I have found ways to incorporate these outdoor nature-based practices into my teaches with my devoted family and many others I have worked for on the side. I have some of the fondest memories of my childhood occur in the great outdoors. It just took a little slow down and smell the flowers to find my true passion in life - to teach about our natural world while building foundational skills with inclusivity of children with disabilities.
