As you will see in the article below, the Natl Education Assn at their annual meeting this month agreed to follow Oregon’s lead and support the teaching of “climate justice”. The NEA is to publicize efforts in states and schools districts across the country, and their approval of this tact may give your local teacher’s union the support they need to welcome climate change education into classrooms. It’s another handle to push for engaging teachers and students in constructively addressing this important issue of our times.
