Every Kid Outdoor (EKO) Passes For 4th Graders, Districtwide + Statewide
Please consider partnering with a federal agency (listed on the EKO website) to replicate this distribution for the fourth grade students you serve around the state.
It is often difficult for working parents/guardians to take time out of their schedules to pick up a pass from offices that are sometimes distant from their work and homes. Not every household in NM has a computer or printer to produce a paper pass. Many families in NM have no car or share one with several adults. In addition, one out of every two children in the United States will live in a single-parent family at some time before they reach age 18.
Formal and informal educators can help families access these passes AND connect them with the environmental science and stewardship that is still absent in our PreK-12 education.
