The Audi Environmental Foundation actively supports research into new technologies and scientific methods for a livable future. Its stated goal is to contribute to environmental protection and to create and promote sustainable ways of behaving. The Foundation focuses in particular on promoting and developing environmentally compatible technologies, implementing environmental education measures, and protecting the natural necessities of life for humans, animals, and plants.
 

Applications are now open for the 2026 cohort of Audi Environmental Foundation Scholars.

This scholarship is intended for young leaders driving change to tackle the climate crisis. Examples of relevant work may include:

1. using innovative technologies to combat climate issues, e.g., by reducing pollution;
2. promoting climate education and its accessibility to increase awareness;
3. empowering vulnerable communities and ensuring resilience to the effects of climate change;
4. protecting crucial ecosystems, e.g., by halting land degradation or revitalizing marine environments; and
5. more!

Requirements:

1. Ages 18 to 30*.
2. Nationals of all countries are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
3. Ability to fully participate in-person at the One Young World Summit (November 1–7, 2026) in Cape Town, South Africa.
4. Demonstrated capacity for leadership.
5. Understanding of key local and/or global issues.
6. Track record of generating impactful and innovative solutions.
7. Demonstrated impact and innovation in tackling environmental challenges.

*Most delegates are between the ages of 18 and 30. The One Young World team will consider applications from those older than 30, provided they demonstrate appropriate personal impact, initiative, and willingness to engage. We are not able to accept applications from those who will be aged under 18 at the time of the Summit. 

Audi Environmental Foundation Scholars will receive:

1. access to the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa, from November 3–6;
2. hotel accommodation in Cape Town, checking in on November 1 and checking out on November 7;
3. travel to and from Cape Town (flights in economy);
4. catering, which includes breakfast at the hotel, lunch, and dinner on core Summit days;
5. transport between the Summit accommodation and the Summit venue; and
6. exclusive access to a pre-program run by the Audi Environmental Foundation on November 2.
