Climate Creative
If you're interested in expanding your repertoire for teaching about climate change and want to provide your students creative avenues for taking climate action, Climate Creative is for you! Come to Shelburne Farms in Shelburne, Vermont to recharge and reflect with other educators and artists while making art together.
Educators of any discipline are welcome. Join us to explore arts-based processes for reflection, connection, and learning. In partnership with climate artists and alumni of our Climate Resiliency Fellowship, facilitators will offer hands-on experiences with different media and support for implementation of student-driven projects. A spring exhibition will provide a celebratory venue for student and teacher artwork.
What You'll Learn:
- Explore how to process emotions related to climate change with students.
- View and discuss the work of different climate artists.
- Increase your capacity to communicate about climate change in, with, and through different creative media.
Program details: Four workshop days, October 9–10, 2025 and January 16–17, 2026, plus a spring exhibition and reception.
Program fee: $400—includes lunch and art materials. Please let us know if this cost is a barrier to your participation.
