Turn on the Night - A light and the Environment STEM Kit

Four hands-on STEM activities invite students in grades 7-12 to plan, design and create strategies for city lighting that balance the competing concerns of humans and the environment. Using the problem solving process, students learn about the light pollusion issues raised by human created lighting: Glare, Sky Glow, Light Trespass and Excess Energy Consumption.

The kit contains durable equipment that can be used over and over again and a full color printed curriculum guide to support 12-15 hours of instruction. Appropriate for ages 12-18 learning in schools, camps, museums, after school programs, outreach events and more!
