Nina Hamilton she/her

Nina joined NAAEE with a background focused on community-based conservation and social inclusion, from working with mangrove-dependent communities in Madagascar to coordinating a global advisory group to promote women's land rights. After a childhood spent living in Asia and Latin America, Nina is particularly passionate about working across cultures to combine her interests in the environment, sustainable development, and social equity. Nina has a Master's in Environmental Management from Duke University. Through her Master's project, she worked closely with a community-based wildlife management and environmental education project in Gabon, where she conducted community mapping in 10 rural communities to better understand their priorities and concerns related to their natural resources.

As a Drama Therapist, Naturalist, and Certified Interpretive Guide I use the creative arts and our natural environment to educate and connect with children, their families and teachers. Connection to our natural world is key to inspire people to be better stewards and protect and conserve the world that we rely on for physical and emotional survival. I am a UC California Naturalist, Xerces Society Ambassador, Climate Steward, incoming Deputy Director of the NAI with a passion for community science projects, especially in the field of pollinators and habitat restoration for Monarch Butterflies.

Jackson is an educator, environmentalist and avid outdoorsman. He previously worked as a Land Steward at the Jackson Hole Land Trust, where he conducted monitoring visits to conservation properties in Teton County, WY. Jackson holds a B.S in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Administration from Cal Poly, and a dual MS in Natural Science Education and Environment and Natural Resource Management from the University of Wyoming.
