Mindfulness Retreat for Environmental Educators in Grand Teton National Park

The Mindfulness for Environmental Educators Retreat at the Murie Ranch of Teton Science Schools is offered as a joint adventure between the Mindfulness for Educators program at Antioch University New England and the Teton Science Schools. Our vision is that environmental educators would welcome the opportunity to come together at the spectacular Murie Ranch in the Tetons to explore their own mindfulness and teaching, and the applications of mindfulness-based approaches to the field of Environmental Education.

Together we will meditate, read and reflect on mindfulness in teaching and learning contexts, engage in a variety of experiential learning activities using these mindfulness approaches, and plan for ways we might advance this work in our own teaching or more broadly in our work. The week is envisioned as professional renewal, a chance to connect with other environmental educators who are interested in mindfulness, and an opportunity to learn more about the Mindfulness in Education movement and explore its applications to the EE field. No prior meditation experience is necessary.
