Amanda Syers is a science education specialist at the Annis Water Resources Institute of Grand Valley State University. She specializes in topics and curricula related to the Great Lakes. Amanda is also the state coordinator for Michigan Project WET (Water Education Today) and the Midwest Representative for the GLOBE United States Partner Forum.
I am a student studying recreation administrationa and studio arts minor. I am currently enrolled in an environmental education course at cal poly humboldt and i wanted to learn more on the topic.
Peta J. White is an Associate Professor in science and environmental education at Deakin University. Her current research follows three narratives: science and biology education; sustainability, environmental, and climate change education; and collaborative/activist methodology and research.
Dr. Medina is an independent consultant specializing in environmental education. His areas of proficiency include program design, project management, proposal writing and review, professional development, cultural competency and inclusiveness, strategic planning, and facilitation. Dr. Medina has worked extensively at both the national and international levels. Until 2014 he was Project Manager of the Cornell University-led Expanding Capacity in Environmental Education (EECapacity) Project funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Environmental Education. Between 1995 and 2011, he managed the National Environmental Education Training Program (EETAP). He now designs and facilitates professional development environmental education courses and workshops. Dr. Medina serves on the NAAEE, ee360+, and GEEP Advisory Councils. He also serves on the Board of Environmental Education and Conservation Global.
