I'm a teacher who started working with wildlife and now has the best of both worlds.

Sylvia Hadnot is a vision-oriented human being, inspired by aesthetics, baffled by the nonsense of injustice, and forever curious about life’s mysteries — she exists at the intersection of courage, creativity and connection.

I have been a trial lawyer, social studies teacher, environmental educator, and director of a nonprofit, Exploring Justice. I am writing and editing new social studies standards for Connecticut to integrate environmental literacy, sustainability and climate change into our social studies courses.
