I am currently working full time at the University of Waterloo Climate Institute as a training program specialist. My work involves supporting the integration of climate change education into UW programs, coordinating climate change education outreach and developing a lifelong learning program in climate science and solutions for professionals. I also do some freelance consulting specializing in sustainability and climate change education. Most of my work is in Canada, where I currently live, and the Seychelles Islands (my other home). I am passionate about finding ways to engage teachers (working with all levels of formal education), students and the community in climate learning and action

Gina LaMotte is passionate about transforming our nation's K-12 schools into centers for climate resilience. In 2008, Gina founded EcoRise, a nonprofit serving over 2,800 schools whose mission is to mobilize a new generation of leaders to design healthy, just, and thriving communities for all.

Biography: Dr. Tami Shelley is an assistant professor in the College of Education, Auburn University at Montgomery. Her research interests include pre-service teacher preparation, mentorship, and early childhood development.

Citizen Artist^™ is a participatory science research platform employing Art-Based Perceptual Ecology (ABPE) research methodologies,  transdisciplinary field-based research methods grounded in multimodal knowledge systems, sensory based learning and framed within ecological and biological principles and offer underrepresented populations an opportunity to get involved in science.
