Paul Kelba is a doctoral candidate at Antioch University. His background and experiences center on children's capacity for play and governing themselves. After two decades as a teacher/system specialist for the Calgary Board of Education, Paul was recently awarded a fellowship for research on play, outdoors and child development. A recipient of the Alberta Teachers Association's Award of Merit, he loves micro-adventures with his family.

I am currently a PhD candidate in Learning Sciences & Technology Design at the Stanford Graduate School of Education, where my research centers around how we might use technology responsibly, ethically, and in engaging, interesting, and creative ways to engage young people in learning.
