I enjoy creating and facilitating educational experiences for kids.  I design camps, activities, and lessons that help younger audiences learn about wildlife conservation.  I also enjoy learning myself.  I am always seeking professional development to enhance my knowledge.

I have been working at Birmingham Zoo for 2 years, teaching children about wildlife conservation.  I am now the Camp Lead in our Learning Department.  I create and facilitate all camps.  We have Spring, Fall, and Winter Break Camps and Summer Camp.  Within our Summer Camp, we have Zoo Camp and Conservation and Career Camp.  Our Zoo Camp is for kids ages 6-11 and our Conservation and Career in for ages 12-15.  

I have been revamping our Zoo Camp with new and exciting activities, games, and themes.  I created our new Conservation and Career Camp for teens.  With the help of my team members, we designed and molded the new program to be a new and better experience for the teen campers.

When I am not working diligently on camp material, I assist my team members with other programs such as ZooSchool for 7th graders and HomeSchool for 3-5th grade.
