I started my career as an environmental educator 28 years ago in Philadephia teaching urban water quality. I have since worked in Oregon, Maryland, Michigan, and New Jersey in a variety of in/nonformal settings. I found my niche when I began working with educators in 2009. My work with them inspired my dissertation research at Rutgers investigating educator environmental literacy. After Rutgers, I was a Research Associate at Michigan State University, supporting urban elementary teachers in teaching science outdoors. I recently returned to New Jersey, where I work as an Education Program Manager with New Jersey Audubon, overseeing their school sustainability programs and providing professional development.
