I work with Early Childhood Programs across Pennsylvania to ensure they are using quality practices within their programs. I coach directors and teachers and provide resources including professional development to them to support their growth and continued success. My current project is developing professional development based on teacher-child interactions outside the classroom walls and within the context of outdoor environments.

I work as a Program Quality Assessor in Pennsylvania under the leadership of the PA Key and the Berks County Intermediate Unit. I am certified to assess programs with a variety of observation instruments and use those tools to observe and provide feedback to teachers and directors in a coaching model. I have recently expanded my certifications to include areas I am passionate about. These areas include outdoor education/learning in Early Childhood settings. I recently took a certification course the North Carolina University for outdoor learning environments and have been passionately learning more about outdoor education and have a desire to start a new journey based solely on outdoor education in Early Childhood settings. In my personal life, I am a certified Wilderrness First Responder, have taught outdoor classes in kayaking, SUP, archery, and led hikes on various trails in PA, and currently teach horseback riding to young children on a non-profit farm I volunteer with. Additionally, I am an avid backpacker and I also hold a certification in Outdoor Leadership. All three of those certificates and knowledge that led to those certifications have been under utilized and I would love to start my journey where my skills and knowledge are used, needed, and wanted.
