Biodiversity & Earth Day Lessons: E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation
Apple has partnered with the E.O. Wilson Foundation for the second year in a row to develop lessons on biodiversity for Earth Day and beyond. Three new lessons about the important issues of water conservation, secondary succession, and wildlife population distribution have been created through this partnership. Other topics include climate change, keystone species, backyard bioblitz, and more. Each lesson includes a reading selection from Apple's free multi-touch iBooks Textbook, E.O. Wilson’s Life on Earth, a series of hands-on activities, and a call-to-action that encourages them to share ways their community can reduce their impact on the area resources and wildlife.
"We hope you will share these materials and help teachers inspire learners to explore, understand, and celebrate the world around them." - Apple and the E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation
