From the Mideast to the Midwest: Chicagoland Youth Climate Activists Report Live from COP27

Join five Chicagoland high school students and one Chicago teacher as they share their experiences at this year's United Nations climate summit, COP27, in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. Hear about developments on the ground and the issues most important to them, from policy to justice to the latest science. They'll answer your questions and discuss how they're bringing the climate fight back home.

The students are all members of It's Our Future, a program designed to empower and equip youth to advocate for climate solutions at the local level. It's Our Future is a program of Seven Generations Ahead (SGA), a Chicagoland environmental nonprofit committed to building healthy and sustainable communities. SGA members Fatima Perez and Greta Kringle are members of Climate Generation's Window into COP27 delegation; a program bringing the climate negotiations to life through the eyes of 12 diverse climate leaders from across the U.S. Climate Generation ignites and sustains the ability of educators, youth and communities to act on the systems perpetuating the climate crisis, and has sent delegations to the COPs since 2009.

This livestream is brought to you by Seven Generations Ahead and It's Our Future, in partnership with Climate Generation.
