Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out with an invitation to help spread the word about a unique international artistic project: In the Beginning—a large-scale immersive musical and visual work led by composer Julian Revie, premiering at Christ Cathedral in California in November 2026.

We are seeking birdsong recordings, natural soundscapes, photography, and visual material from around the world—especially moments that reveal beauty, mystery, resilience, and renewal within the living world.

These recordings and images will be incorporated into the immersive sound design and projected visual environments of the work. The project will be professionally recorded and shared freely online, and all contributors will be acknowledged.

We would be so grateful if you might share the attached call with students, colleagues, members of your community, or anyone who may enjoy contributing.

We are especially excited to welcome contributions from young people, students, emerging artists, field recordists, bird enthusiasts, and nature lovers from every part of the world.
