Reimagining Education is a training in participatory leadership and learning through a practice called the Art of Hosting. Applied to learning, it retires the sage on the stage and operates with the understanding that there is so much wisdom in a group and the work is making sense of it together. Over three days, participants won't just learn these methods—they experience hosting firsthand. 

We gather around the question: What grows when we courageously imagine the future of education and learning together?

Environmental educators will find the underlying frame familiar. The Art of Hosting rests on living systems thinking that classrooms, organizations, and school systems behave less like machines and more like ecosystems: relationships, patterns, edges, conditions, and things that only grow when the conditions are right. If you've ever tried to explain why a schoolyard naturalization project changed more than the schoolyard, you already work this way.

The land isn't a backdrop here. We are intentionally hosting at Camp Kawartha's Environment Centre in Peterborough, Ontario because the land is our number one host.

Four years in, this training has held teachers, post-secondary faculty, and community organizers in diverse dialogue creating a richer learning environment; and of course, no training like this would be complete without a Saturday night campfire.
