How to Weltacker: A Virtual Workshop
We would like to cordially invite you to our virtual workshop "How to Weltacker" on November 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM CET.
A Weltacker (the original term for ‘Global Field’) is an innovative educational space that presents a miniature version of global agriculture on 2000 m²: the arable land that is theoretically available to every citizen of the world. It provides a setting for educational activities on sustainable development, nutrition, the environment and climate. Here, the connections between our diet, global agriculture and the climate become tangible for everyone. You can read more about the concept on the 2000 m² website. After the first Weltacker was established in Berlin, the concept spread with great success throughout Germany, Europe and, in a few cases, the Global South. Today, we are a movement of almost 40 projects, and many more initiatives intend to start up and become part of the movement. Perhaps there will soon be a Weltacker in your neighborhood?
In our workshop, we will answer all your questions: What exactly is a Global Field? Why are such educational spaces necessary? How can you set up and establish your own Weltacker? What educational content is taught at the Global Fields?
! Please check your time zones, as we are inviting people from all over the world. The event starts at 3:00 PM CET (Berlin, Germany).
