How to Use Cafeteria Waste as a First Step Toward School Sustainability: teacher webinar
It's estimated that over 530,000 tons of food go to waste in US school cafeterias each year—and that's not even including milk! Join us on October 22 when we'll be joined by Gerin Hennebaul, STEAM content specialist at Lovin Elementary in Georgia, where educators and students have cut cafeteria food waste by over 70% with the help of WWF’s Food Waste Warriors program. Gerin will share about her experience, including how the school's sustainability efforts have continued to grow, and offer helpful tips on how to get your students started on a path of making smart choices for the planet.
