The 2020 F2C Program is thrilled to be working with the NC Urban Forest Council and the NC Forest Service Urban & Community Forestry program to help educators (4th - 12th grade) learn more about the amazing urban forests within our communities! The program will include field days, classroom instruction. and a career panel. Instructors will include urban forestry specialists, scientists, and community organizations. Activities from Project Learning Tree and other curricula will be used to help teachers carry back what they have learned into the classroom. Continuing education (CEU) and EE Certification (Criteria II & III) credits will be provided.

Applications will be accepted until April 17, 2020. The 2020 F2C is geared towards formal and nonformal educators working with upper elementary through high school students (4th – 12th grade). Note: Teachers from outside of North Carolina are eligible to apply! Space is limited to 25 educators, with final selection based on application quality. Nonformal educators are encouraged to apply with the understanding that priority is given to formal classroom educators.

Applicants will be notified of their acceptance no later than May 1, 2020. Upon selection, participants will be required to submit a $75 nonrefundable registration fee with additional information to complete the registration process and secure their spot in the program.
