I was an elementary teacher at a Native American school and am now retired. I am starting a new life as a writer. I have always been an outdoorsman, lover of science and history. These will be the focus us my children's books. Summers I share books with children at Oregon parks.
I am a Masters of Science candidate at Antioch University New England in the Environmental Education program.
I Administer an Outdoor Environmental Education Program for K-12 students on Long Island, NY. We have two field sites with nature centers and also run field trips to local parks, beaches, schools and on Charter Fishing Boats. We are non-profit and State funded.
Frog Pond Early Learning Center is a one-of-a-kind early childhood nature program located on two acres in the middle of the urban enclave that is Alexandria, VA. It is an inclusive program that teaches and nurtures children, families, and the world, with nature-based, science-rich curriculum.
I enjoy hosting outreach events like moth night, nature fests, and school programs on local insect diversity as well as teach people how to engage in citizen science through apps like iNaturalist.
