Ellen is currently a water education consultant with municipal water providers in Colorado. She brings together her experience as an outdoor enthusiast, whitewater raft guide and educator to engage young people in learning more about the role water plays in their life, community and environment.

I am a nature-based educator with a passion for integrating science education and the arts. I presently work as a teacher for a private nature-based program and am a graduate student in the nature-based education program at Antioch University.

Charissa V. Jones (she/her/hers) is the Outreach and Inclusion Coordinator for the Oregon State University (OSU) Extension Service Outdoor School Program and a third-year doctoral student at Oregon State University in the College of Education’s STEM Education program. She is a cultural and community connector with over 15 years of experience in outdoor and environmental education. Originally from Suriname, South America, she is interested in (re)connecting folks to their environments by exploring the intersections of EDIJA (equity, diversity, inclusion, justice, and accessibility), and environmental and outdoor education with a particular interest in exploring how culture filters community sense-making around “environment/outdoor/nature-based” and learning.

I am a new STEAM teacher. I have been teaching for 20 years. I am a mom of three. 

Vince Meldrum is President and CEO of Earth Force. Vince is an experienced nonprofit leader who has worked in environmental and civic education for 20 years. Vince leads Earth Force, a national organization with a unique focus on combining active civic education with environmental education to prepare young people with the civic skills, scientific knowledge, and motivation to improve our local environment.

I'm Shakita Holloway, a horticulturist and emerging environmental educator at the North Carolina Botanical Garden. I hold a B.A. and M.A. in Anthropology with a focus on Archaeology, which sparked my deep interest in land, culture, and sustainability. My work centers on land stewardship, soil health, and culturally rooted education.

I’ve managed farms and learning gardens, interned with the Soil Health Institute, and currently support conservation and public education projects at NCBG. I’m pursuing a Certificate in Soil Science from NC State and plan to continue toward an M.S. and Ph.D. in Soil Microbiology.

I’m passionate about making environmental education accessible to historically excluded communities, including through supporting my neurodivergent nephew’s homeschooling. My goal is to create inclusive, educational spaces that center native and agricultural plants, composting, and stormwater awareness—especially within Black and marginalized communities. I hope to eventually build a nursery and seed-saving project that honors cultural heritage, restores soil, and teaches land stewardship.

I'm a Cal Poly Student completing this for my Fundamentals of Environmental Education and Interpretation course. 

I am a STEM/Environmental educator at a non-profit located in Minneapolis, MN. We provide hands-on, project-based learning experiences in sustainability and environmental education, with an emphasis on job readiness and entrepreneurship.
