I grew up in the woods of northern New Jersey, which embedded a deep connection between myself and the natural world. I try to foster this same type of connection between my students and the environment.

Hi! I am the Program Manager for the Urban and Community Forestry Program with the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management. I have a Master's in Environmental Education & Science from Prescott College and am the President of the Arizona Association for Environmental Education. I am the Executive Director of the Arizona Association for Environmental Education and also Direct the AZ Master Naturalist Program.
I'm an instructional designer, program director, frontline facilitator, and teacher trainer helping place-based programs support scientific, environmental, and social-emotional literacy in learners of all ages.
I also serve on the board of EEAO (Oregon's NAAEE affiliate).
I have been teaching for 18 years, most of it in PBL environments. Most recently an NEH Scholar at the Hoover Dam Institute. Panelist at the 2021 NAAEE Conference, Building Community Resilience through STEAM Education and Actions as a part of Recharge the Rain, Project WET Educator cohort.
