Interested in developing job readiness skills, experience in project management, and gaining contacts in the field of natural resources? Come learn, live and serve in the beautiful State of Maine! The Maine Conservation Corps (MCC) is devoted to conservation and environmental stewardship across the state, with positions available throughout the year.
As part of the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry, the MCC's four-fold mission is to: accomplish conservation projects, create conservation employment, provide conservation education, and engage conservation volunteers.
I Teach at South Iredell High School in North Carolina (United States). I teach MYP Earth/Environmental Science, MYP Biology, and AP Environmental Science and serve as our Service learning/CAS coordinator. I graduated from NCSU with a degree in High school science Education with a concentration in biology and a minor in environmental science. I am married to a fellow teacher who also teaches at the same school- he is in the CP program and we have an elementary-age son. I love school, science, the environment, and learning, and try to share this passion with my students by making fun engaging lessons and building a classroom of respect and community. I am a National Geographic Certified Educator! I am currently working to become a Certified Environmental Educator.
As Chief Development and Partnerships Officer at the Educated Choices Program, I help to ensure our continued success. By creating a sustainable and diverse funding portfolio and by forming strategic partnerships, I pave the way for growth and increased impact. I also assist with the growth and development of the ECP team in daily operations.
In addition to serving ECP in my CDPO role, I also serve as a member of our ARDI (Anti-racism, Diversity and Inclusion) Committee with the mission of cultivating an anti-racist and inclusive work environment: thinking critically about our own standards, policies, and practices, making choices that rely on and celebrate a diversity of perspectives, and maintaining an active role in creating a just and equitable work culture for all staff.
I have always been deeply connected to the natural world and have spent the last 16 years of my life sharing my knowledge and passion through teaching others, mainly in the Santa Cruz mountains and California Bay Area. I live in Santa Cruz and am enrolled in the the California Environmental Educator Certification Program as well as the Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods Climate Steward Certification Program. I am currently in between jobs and am looking to advance my career with an organization dedicated to stewarship, advocacy, and nature connection. My goal is to work collaboratively in a passionate and supportive team environment that promotes physical and emotional wellness outdoors within my local community.
Olabode Victoria Folorunsho is an impact-driven entrepreneur dedicated to social change. She is a graduate of Biology Education from the University of Jos and is currently running her postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management. She has volunteered with the Naza Agape Foundation for the past three years and her passion for educating children is exemplary. Her hobbies are: Researching and learning new things
