I am a writer and educator focusing on community participation. NAAEE has hired me as the writer for the "Guidelines for Excellence: Guidelines for Community Engagement" project. I look forward to engaging with, and benefiting from the insights of this important eePRO group.
I have been interested in EE for as long as I can remember. I have a BA from the U of R and an Applied Degree in Ecotourism and Outdoor Leadership from Mount Royal University. I have worked as a guide, interpreter, camp counselor, conservation officer and currently focus on Water Education programs.
I teach science and social studies methods courses in the Elementary Education Program. I also serve as an external/third party program evaluator for federal Math Science Integration Grant projects and Improving Teacher Quality (Title II) grant projects. Some current projects are B WET funded.
I'm a college readiness program director and teach a garden based urban environmental education program. I am also a graduate student in urban education at CUNY.
