I enjoy exploring, learning and teaching about the natural history of California and other places I have the privilege to visit. I feel like there is always more to learn about nature, Indigenous influence on ecosystems and understanding the continual changes in our world. I have lived throughout California my whole life and am currently living in the Eastern Sierra where adventuring is endless. I am married and have one cat.

I graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a Bacheor's Degree in Environmental Studies. After college I worked a handful of seasonal positions doing field research. I found my true calling when I became an interpreter through California State Parks in the Santa Cruz mountains region. I fell in love with taking people hiking and sharing the joys and mysteries of the world around us. I had the opportunity to work at the Mono Lake Committee as their Education Director where I planned, executed and adapted many environmental education programs. After traveling for two years, I returned to the Eastern Sierra and am currently working with a non-profit called Sierra STEM. Our goal is to deliver high quality STEM based environmental education to primarily local students, but we also serve visiting students. We run summer camps, host camping trips, backpacking trips and 'STEM Nights' in our community.
