My name is Megan Dettle, I have lived in North Carolina for the past 15 years.  I grew up in Indiana and recieved a BA in both Sociology and Theology at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY. I began my career working with children in middle and high school as a youth minister and a high school Theology teacher.  Later, I worked with military school age children through the Armed Services YMCA. While staying home to raise my children, I became their Girl Scout leader and lead for ten years.  When I decided to return to the work force, I saw an opportunity to work at Nature School at Camp Albemarle as a Preschool Teacher. This job was a perfect place to combine my love of God, love of teaching, and exploring outside.  Nature School has been an amazing place for me to instill the love of learning and exploring outdoors at an early age for my students.  I hope to further my skills to capture their attention and deepend their learning through earning the NC Environmental Education Certificate.
