Originally from South Central Los Angeles, I relocated to the Inland Empire to study Sustainability at the University of California, Riverside (UCR).I work for TreePeople, where our mission is to advance shade equity by bringing trees and green infrastructure to underserved communities across Southern California, including the Inland Empire. Our region has grown beyond tree planting alone and we now also provide environmental education and outdoor equity field trips that connect community members to nature in meaningful, hands-on ways. My work is rooted in a deep commitment to expanding access to green spaces, creating equitable outdoor experiences, and empowering communities through environmental education.

With six years of experience in the nonprofit sector, I’ve dedicated my work to expanding environmental access and education for historically disadvantaged communities. My background includes leading interpretive programs, guiding outdoor learning experiences, and creating inclusive spaces for people to connect with nature. I’m a certified California Naturalist and Climate Steward, and I’ve led educational hikes in Big Bear that blend ecology, climate awareness, and community building.
In addition, I developed a field trip program named RootED in the I.E. that specifically designed for Inland Empire community members, creating hands-on, place-based learning opportunities that make environmental education accessible, relevant, and empowering.
