I have been working in the public education setting for 6 years.  I worked 3 years teaching in a high school and 3 years with middle school students.  My passion for science stems from my favorite outdoor activities like hiking, camping, bird-watching, kayaking, and stargazing.  I have worked seasonally with an outdoor education program as an outdoor instructor, teaching classes like outdoor skills and orienteering. I am currently a master's student studying Natural Science and Environmental Education.  I hope this will lead to some transfer or outdoor appreciation and curriculum in my classroom, as well as opportunities to work in outdoor education programs in the future.
