I am an educator, Girl Scout leader, and lifelong learner who is passionate about helping children discover the world around them through curiosity, creativity, and hands-on experiences. I began my teaching career as a Kindergarten teacher, where I developed a deep appreciation for the wonder, enthusiasm, and natural curiosity young children bring to learning. I now teach K–4 STEM, and I am currently in my second year in this role. While I am still learning the ropes of STEM education, I absolutely love the challenge and creativity that comes with teaching science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to students across the elementary grades. I especially enjoy designing experiences that allow students to investigate real-world problems, ask questions, build, test, collaborate, and learn from their mistakes. Outside of the classroom, I am deeply involved in Girl Scouts. I serve as a leader for two separate Girl Scout troops and as a Service Unit Director, where I support troops and help create opportunities and activities for Girl Scouts across two counties. Girl Scouting has given me another avenue to help young people develop confidence, leadership skills, curiosity, and a sense of responsibility for their communities.

One of my greatest passions is connecting children with the natural world. I want students to understand and appreciate the native plants, animals, habitats, and ecosystems that exist right in their own communities. More importantly, I want them to see themselves as capable stewards of those places. My goal is to teach environmental conservation in ways that are meaningful, sustainable, and accessible—moving beyond simply learning about environmental problems and empowering students to explore solutions and take thoughtful action.

Whether I am in a STEM classroom, leading Girl Scouts, exploring outdoors, or developing a new hands-on learning experience, I am happiest when I am helping children turn their natural curiosity into a desire to understand, create, and make a positive difference in the world around them.
