Claire Sutton has been fostering connections between students and the natural world since 2010. She holds a B.S. in Film and Television Studies from Boston University, is a Wilderness First Responder, and a 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher. Claire has worked as an international gap year instructor with ARCC Adventures, and as the Assistant Director of the High Mountain Institute’s Gap Year program in the American West and Chilean Patagonia. She currently runs the Outdoor Education and Gardening Programs at San Francisco Waldorf High School and leads the DEI Committee for the Gap Year Association. Claire believes that intentional time spent outdoors is the world’s best catalyst for community-building and self-growth. In her free time she enjoys biking around SF to try new delicious bakeries, and taking her dog, Joni, to the beach.
